The paper is to study and recognize the Internet effects on the IDENTITY from this perspective, in addition to the study's review of the concept of the subject, an integrated approach on the basis of the Giddens’ structuraction and Houston's theories is applied in order to explain the phenomenon. Furthermore, concerning the assumptions of the mentioned theories in regard to the characteristics of the study population, it is strived to determine the relationship between Internet use and user IDENTITY. As a matter of fact, the data was collected according to the survey methods in research and techniques using questionnaire survey on 384 young users, selected by cluster sampling, aged between 18 to 28, moreover, depth interview qualitative research was applied in order to complete the data. Thus, the findings indicated that the amount and use of the Internet culminate in alterations in the young users’ NATIONAL IDENTITY so that their personal IDENTITY is undermined, furthermore, using the Internet results in strengthening of their ethnic IDENTITY while their NATIONAL IDENTITY will fade.
